Important documents should not be left in any folder, where anyone can find them. The best way to protect a file is to encrypt it and make it impossible to find. This is what you can do with Toolwiz BSafe. The application allows you to store your files in password-protected virtual drives, called safes. You may create multiple safes, of different sizes and store any kind of files. The best part is that it takes only a few clicks to create and mount a safe.

Toolwiz BSafe is part of a larger collection of useful applications. Just like its counterparts, Toolwiz BSafe is absolutely free and you can install it in no time, with a single click. It works on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7 and Win 8 and it doesn't have any special requirements.

The user interface displays a series of options, for creating safes, opening and closing them and changing their passwords, as well as detailed instructions regarding how the safes work. New safes can be defined on a separate window, on which you must set up an output name and path, type in a password and specify a size for the new safe. When your configurations are complete, you only need to hit a Create Now button and the application will create the safe right away and mount it automatically.

After storing your important data in a safe, you can select it on the application's interface and click a button to close it. Safes are stored as files, which can't be opened through any conventional means. You can open a safe only on the application's user interface, by selecting its file, typing its corresponding password and specifying a drive letter. Opened safes are listed in the lower region of the interface and they show up as mounted drives in Windows Explorer. You can also open a safe in read-only mode, if you wish to retrieve your files, without making any modifications to the stored data.

Pros

You can store sensitive data in password protected virtual drives. Toolwiz BSafe allows you to create as many safes as you want, in different sizes. The application's functionality is very straightforward and its functions are easy to understand.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to speak of. With Toolwiz BSafe, you can make your private files impossible to find and open, in just a few seconds.
